Robert Dewitt Chapman

ROBERT DEWITT CHAPMAN, age 83, passed away on February 5, 2021. Beloved husband of Susan (nee Franklin); loving father of Jennie Vasarhelyi (the late Dave) and Chris Chapman; dear grandfather of Leah Vasarhelyi and Kayla Vasarhelyi. He was a quiet gentleman who loved science, nature, and his family. He earned a Ph.D. in astrophysics from Harvard and worked for UCLA, NASA, and the private aerospace sector. He authored books on astronomy for college students and the general public. Private family funeral services were celebrated with interment at All Saints Cemetery in Northfield, Ohio.
