James Tyminski of Sagamore Hills, aka “Tymo”, age 76 was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He adored his wife, Linda R. (nee Glinka); loving father of Jennifer Peganoff (Steven), James T., Jr. (Christy), Allyson Liederbach ( John) and Michael (Alissa); cherished grandfather of nine, Johnny, Daniel, Alyssa, Elliott, Benjamin, Gray, James, III, Addyson and Everly.; brother of Diane Tarby-Rude (deceased) (Edward Rude); dear uncle to many.
James was a lifelong resident of Ohio and a passionate Ohio State fan. He passed away on Saturday, surrounded by his wife and four children, only a few short hours after watching his Ohio State Buckeyes beat Michigan one last time. A devoted family man, James traveled the city daily to be with his children and watch his grandchildren play sports and other activities.
Professionally, Mr. Tyminski was a long time claim professional with Allstate. After retiring from there, he became the chief court mediator for the Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court, in Cleveland. He served in that role for over a decade and was one of the most respected court-sponsored mediators in the state. He simply had a way with people- plaintiffs, plaintiffs’ counsel, defendants, defense counsel, claim professionals, anyone - that put them at ease and made resolutions happen.
As a young man, he was a three-sport athlete and an elected member of his high school athletics hall of fame. In his spare time, he also loved fishing and boating on Lake Erie. His family and loved ones adored him and he fit the mold of a man who “never met a stranger” as he was a friend to all.
