Thomas J. Borowy

THOMAS J. BOROWY, age 82, passed away on April 6, 2025. Beloved husband of the late Lorelie (nee Uridel); loving father of Jeffrey (Deborah), Brad (Sue), and Bryon (Deanna); cherished “Bampy” of, Allison, Haley, Nolan, Sydney, and Kacy; son of the late John "Red" and Hazel (nee Chamberlin); dear brother of Shireen Mitchell (the late Guy) and Alice Tyna (the late Terry).

Tom was the teacher of the class that everyone couldn't wait for: elementary gym. He spent his entire teaching career, which included coaching varsity baseball, basketball and football, in Richmond Heights Schools. For 20 more years, he continued to coach varsity sports, most notably girls volleyball at his alma mater, Cuyahoga Heights High School. An avid baseball player, Tom pitched against the best of the area in Lakewood and Cleveland AAA for nearly 40 years, highlighted by his tenure as founder/manager/player of Family Baseball. 

Friends may call at THE FERFOLIA FUNERAL HOME, 356 WEST AURORA RD. (OH RT 82), SAGAMORE HILLS FOR VISITATION ON SUNDAY, APRIL 13, 2025 FROM 2-6 P.M. Funeral Monday, April 14, 2025  10 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment West Richfield Cemetery.
