Theresa Grace Bornino

THERESA GRACE BORNINO (nee Monteleone), age 83, of Broadview Heights, passed away Friday, November 15, 2024. Beloved wife of Leonard J. “Len” Jr.; loving mother of Lisa Mason (Greg), Terrilynn Bornino-Elwell (Dale), and Lenny (Emily); cherished grandma of Matthew Mason (Kailee), Kaleigh Bowman (Drew), Braeden Bornino, Colin Bornino, and Ethan Bornino; great grandma of Charleigh Bowman, Wesley Mason, Henry Mason, and Parker Bowman; caring daughter of the late Carmelo and Carmela Monteleone (nee Audino); dear sister of the late Mary Catherine Kupiecki and the late Domenic Monteleone. Theresa passed away surrounded by her loving family. Her life was a testament to unconditional love and devotion to her family, whom she cherished above all else. She spent many dedicated years as a bank teller, where she was known for her warm demeanor and generosity, often delighting her loved ones with crisp, new dollar bills. Her selflessness and ability to always put her family first left a legacy of love and care that will live on through those who knew her. She found immense joy in the little things that brought her family together, from cheering on her kids and grandkids at various extracurricular activities to sharing her love of her husband Lenny’s homemade Italian food. She, like many of us was a die-hard Cleveland fan and loved watching sports. Theresa was an avid fan of Hallmark movies and daily soap operas and found comfort in life’s simple pleasures. She also had a youthful, adventurous spirit, from her days riding roller coasters to her love of finding thoughtful gifts that brought great joy to her children and grandchildren. Theresa and husband Lenny spent over 20 wonderful years in Florida during retirement, building lasting friendships and embracing life to the fullest. She had an infectious smile that could light up any room and a heart full of kindness that touched everyone she met. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered in the hearts of all who loved her. Friends may call at THE FERFOLIA FUNERAL HOME 356 W. AURORA RD. All are asked to gather for Theresa’s Funeral Mass Wednesday 10 a.m. at St. Monica Catholic Church, 13623 Rockside Road, Garfield Heights, Ohio 44125. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Theresa’s name to either St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or to the American Diabetes Association.
