Thereasa M. Angelo

Thereasa M. Angelo, 65, of Cuyahoga Falls, peacefully passed away on March 31, 2021. Thereasa earned her Bachelors Degree in Education, magma cum laude, from Ashland University. She then graduated with honors from Western Michigan University earning a Masters Degree in Physical Education with Specialization in Athletic Training. Thereasa was an instructor, mentor and leader in sports medicine serving as an athletic trainer for 37 years with Summa Health System. A member of the Ohio Athletic Trainers’ Association, the Great Lakes Athletic Trainers’ Association, and the National Athletic Trainers’ Association, Thereasa earned the NATA and OATA Service Awards, OATA Presidential Excellence Award, OATA Professional Athletic Trainer of the Year and, ultimately was inducted into the OATA Hall of Fame. Thereasa was certified in Graston Technique, serving as an instructor. In addition, she was trained in Multi Radiance Laser Therapy. Thereasa was preceded in death by her father, Dominic Angelo, and her mother, Rosalie Oleksiak (née LaMarca). She is survived by her beloved partner, Donna M. Stusek, and cherished sister, Patti Pilato (Jack); loving step sisters and brothers, Edward (Mary) Oleksiak, Karen (Jim) Robison, Father Don Oleksiak, Mary Kroggel, Ron Mori and Denise Pardee; dear nieces and nephews, Maria (Phil) Aguila, Frank (Chrissy) Pilato, Jacqueline (Pat) McKee, Jeff (Betty) Brasdovich, Michelle (Hector) Fontanet, Jake (Bailey) Brasdovich, Kayleigh (John) Bliss, Rachel and Cecily Oleksiak, Nicole, Kelsey and Carly Kroggel; and 13 great nieces and nephews.
