Stacey L Kessler (nee McGhee) of Streetsboro, Ohio, passed away peacefully with her daughter by her side on September 4, 2025 after a courageous and heartfelt battle with cancer. She fought with determination and grace, touching countless lives along the way. A devoted professional, Stacey built her career in accounting and bookkeeping and took genuine pride in her work. Outside the office, Stacey found her greatest joy in the company of family and friends. A gifted gardener, she transformed outdoor spaces into places of peace and beauty. Her tender love for nature, especially lighthouses, beaches and waters of Lake Erie defined her happiest summers—many of which were spent exploring the islands of Lake Erie. She was a loving mother to Kristi L Hlad (Christopher A) and a cherished grandmother to Christian T and Connor J and she held in her heart her dearly beloved, the late Carter D. She was the treasured daughter of the late Thomas J McGhee and Geraldine L (nee Evey) and is fondly remembered by her siblings Sheryl A, Susan J (Joseph Sonnefeld) and Scott A (Lynette McGhee) will also be deeply missed by her nephews Drew Smiley and Joseph Sonnefeld II (Jaylie) and her great-nephew Joseph Sonnefeld III. Her devoted companion Daniel provided steadfast love and friendship, and her many friends were touched by her warmth and kindness. Stacey’s gentle spirit, her laughter among loved ones, and her nurturing connection with the natural world leave a beautiful and lasting legacy. She will be profoundly missed and fondly remembered. The family would like to extend their profound gratitude to the compassionate staff at Canterbury of Twinsburg and Hospice of the Western Reserve. Your exceptional care, kindness, and dedication provided Stacey and her family with comfort and dignity in her final days—a gift for which we will always be thankful. Friends may call at THE FERFOLIA FUNERAL HOME, 356 WEST AURORA ROAD (OH RT 82), SAGAMORE HILLS FOR MEMORIAL VISITATION ON FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 12, 2025 FROM 5:00-7:00 PM.
