Shirley Marie Aloi

SHIRLEY MARIE ALOI (nee Marinelli), age 64, passed away at home on May 6, 2023. Beloved wife of Nicholas; loving mother of Nicholas Aloi (fiancee Allison Smith) and Christina Galloway (Tom); dear grandmother of Cullen Galloway; daughter of Beverly and the late Vito Marinelli; sister of Sandra Swenson and Susan Koudelka (Timothy); aunt of Joni Letterle (Donny), Danyelle Sivillo (Chris), Sarah Johnson (Justin), and Maria Koudelka; great aunt of Madison Letterle, Alex Letterle, and Sammy Sivillo.

Shirley was very social and loved getting to know everyone she met. She enjoyed being a stay-at-home mom while her kids were young. She loved raising her kids, teaching them, playing with then, cooking, and feeding everyone. She worked for the school system, and cared deeply for every child she has the pleasure of knowing. She loves being outside, gardening, being in the sun, and most of all being around water and swimming. Anywhere there was a pool she could be found on any given sunny day. She was beyond excited and proud when she finally got her own pool in 2019. She loved her family more than anything and enjoyed large family gatherings for any occasion. Her family will continue to open her pool and have gatherings at her home because they know that’s what she would have wanted. Everyone together enjoying her home and pool.

Friends may call at THE FERFOLIA FUNERAL HOME, 356 WEST AURORA RD. (OH RT 82), SAGAMORE HILLS FOR MEMORIAL VISITATION ON MONDAY, MAY 15, 2023 FROM 3-6 P.M. Shirley’s funeral services will immediately follow at 6:00 p.m.
