Ronald "Ron" A. Witt

Ronald “Ron” A Witt passed away on January 18, 2026. He was born to Albert and Wanda (nee Gotzman). Ron had three siblings Walter, Elsie and Richard (Louise). He was a dear uncle to 5 nieces. Ron was raised in Cleveland, Ohio but did not call it home for long. In 1961 Ron sought out a new adventure in California and never looked back. He loved the weather and thoroughly enjoyed his time there. Ron made many friends over the years. He really found pleasure in cooking for them and hosting dinner parties. Ron had a love of football. While he would always cheer for the California teams, he would still root for the Cleveland Browns. Each year he held an annual weekend long Superbowl party for his closest friends. Ron was an avid traveler, visiting places like Mexico and Spain. Ron’s favorite hobby was bicycling. He used to ride many miles each day. Ron’s most cherished role was that of a “dog dad.” He had several dogs overs the years and they brought him a great deal of happiness. Ron worked for the federal government until he retired at the age of 70. Most recently, Ron returned to Cleveland to spend time with his family. Ron will be buried at Lutheran Cemetery with his mother. Ron will be missed.
