Paul Bacho Obituary

PAUL A. BACHO; 69, Beloved husband of Linda M. (Nee Kilroy); Loving son of the late Margaret and Paul Bacho; Loving son-in-law of Susan Kilroy, and the late James Kilroy; Dearest brother of Mary Sue Batley (Doug), Martha Kent, Judy Biesenthal (late Eberhard), John Bacho (Diane), and the late Mark Bacho (Kathy); Dear brother-in-law of Patty Konopka (Gary); Cherished uncle, great-uncle and cousin of many. Paul was born and raised in northeastern Ohio, but he truly lived in the entire world. He graduated in 1973 from St Peter Chanel High School and went on to earn degrees from Kent State University in athletic training as well as a Master's in Sport's Medicine from Western Michigan. Paul's interests and talents were wide and varied. He became a master wine maker, and generously shared his knowledge and product of this with family and friends. He also was an incredible craftsman doing all the interior work on his own beloved log home. No description of Paul would be complete without also mentioning his passion for all things Snoopy!

Paul served as an athletic trainer to many area high schools, starting at Trinity High School alongside his wife Linda. He spent countless hours on and off the field/court tending to their injuries and managing their rehab to get them back in the game as soon as possible. His athletic training responsibilities also included a stint as an athletic trainer for the Cleveland Indians AA farm team.

For the past few decades he had his own healing practice centered around NST therapy. Due to Paul's innate healing abilities, his client base grew into the hundreds, with patients often waiting for weeks to see him.

Ever the athlete himself, he played high school sports and earned a varsity letter at John Carrol University as a member of the tennis team. Always the individual looking to challenge himself both physically and mentally, he turned to endurance sports in which he found both. He competed in numerous marathons as well as completing THE Ironman Triathlon in Hawaii. Along the way he came to realize that his true passion and talent was long distance cycling. He became an avid Randonneur, competing 10 consecutive times in the PBP- a difficult 750 mile course between Paris and Brest that must be completed in 90 hours.

Paul loved to travel and he and his wife Linda enjoyed numerous cruises and trips together throughout their nearly 45 years of marriage. Paul combined his passion for cycling and travel in 2008, embarking on an incredible 7500 mile journey cycling from Paris to Beijing to celebrate the upcoming Olympic games being held there that year. He was the only American citizen to participate in this event.

Always seeking the next level of knowledge and awareness, Paul followed Tao philosophy. His phrase "As long as you feel better when you leave after seeing me than when you arrived, then I have done my job" is truly the way he lived. I think that all who knew and loved him can agree... that yes... we are ever so blessed and better for Paul being in our lives.
