Michele Ann Caldwell

MICHELE ANN CALDWELL (nee Britsky), 78, a devoted mother, grandmother, and sister passed away on January 31, 2025. Michele was born on October 9, 1946, in Indiana, Pennsylvania.  She lived a life filled with kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for her family. She dedicated her life to nurturing those around her by always putting others before herself. Her warmth, kindness, and generous spirit touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. 

Wife of the late John “Jack” Caldwell, she is survived by her loving children Lori Matson (Gary), and Christopher (Courtney).  Adored grandmother of Faith, Haley, Becca, August, Zane, and Dash.  Cherished sister of Jackie Myers (longtime companion Joe Naman) and Patricia Johnson.  She is the aunt of Shannon Myers and Carson Johnson.  Preceded in death by her parents John and Genevieve Britsky.   Michele found joy in every moment spent with her family.  Whether through her comforting embrace, meals together, card games, or words of encouragement, she left a lasting mark on all who knew her.

Michele was known for her love of Cleveland sports, cheering on the Guardians, Cavs, and even the Browns. She knew all the players and would have been an amazing coach to any of the teams. She also was an animal lover who was crushed when her puppy, Sasha, passed away. She would have had many more pets if she were able. She was a fighter and endured so much over the years. She was strong and a self-proclaimed “tough old bird”. She always said, “I just need to get through this, so I can get better”. Although she fought hard, her body finally had enough. 

Though she may no longer be with us in person, her love, guidance, and beautiful spirit will remain with us always. Rest in peace Mom, Grammy, Grandma, Mikey. You will be deeply missed and forever cherished. We will meet you again in Heaven! We love you!

The family suggests memorial contributions in her name to The Humane Society of Summit County, www.summithumane.org. Friends may call at the FERFOLIA FUNERAL HOME, 356 W. AURORA RD. (OHIO RTE. 82), SAGAMORE HILLS, FOR A CELEBRATION OF LIFE ON SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 22, 2025, FROM 10 AM UNTIL 11:30.  A funeral service will take place at 11:30 at Ferfolia Funeral Home. Interment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in the summer.
