Mary Ann Protzik

Mary Ann Protzik, “Maizie”, 82, of Highland Heights, Ohio, passed away peacefully on July 17, 2025. Beloved wife of Michael, devoted daughter of the late Steve and Anne Bockanic (nee Durkot), cherished sister and best friend of Sandra Goodell (Richard), treasured aunt of Michael Goodell (Kristin), Christine Jones (Gene), and Rebecca Goodell, and devoted great-aunt of Alaina Jones, Finley Jones, and Ruby Goodell. Stepmother of Susan Denison, Karen Jonap, and Kathleen Protzik. Mary Ann was a long-time member of St. Joseph Byzantine Catholic Church and found fulfillment in volunteering with the Christ Child Society of Cleveland, where she made many dear friends.  Her greatest joy was being an aunt and watching the growth of her three great nieces. Family and friends are asked to gather Wednesday, July 23, 2025, at St. Joseph Byzantine Catholic Church 8111 Brecksville Rd. Brecksville, OH  44141 for visitation from 9:00AM- 10:00AM immediately followed by a Mass of Christian Burial. Private burial at a later date. Donations may be made to Christ Child Society, 7901 Detroit Road, Cleveland, OH 44102, or online at https://christchildsocietycleveland.org. or a charity of your choice. Mary Ann’s love, kindness and warmth will be forever cherished by all who knew her.
