LOUIS DONALD SOUNIK, age 99 of Bedford, passed away Monday, February 17, 2025. Beloved husband of the late Rose (nee Novak); loving dad of Donald L. (Terri), the late David F. (Ofelia), and James R. (Laura); cherished grandpa of Lisa R. Blackrick (DJ), Matthew P. (Elisa), Diane N., Monica L., Daniel S., Brian J., Jeremy L. (Laura), and Heather L. Baker (Casey); grandpa Louie to Ava and Gavin; dear brother of Marie Prenosil (the late Joseph), the late Ralph (the late Charlotte), and Marian Hathaway (the late Milton); uncle and great uncle of many. Veteran of the United States Army World War II. Louis was a self-employed carpenter, having built many homes in the neighborhoods of Cleveland. He was a ham radio operator and enjoyed traveling, spending the winters in Phoenix, and was an avid camper and fisherman. Friends may call at THE FERFOLIA FUNERAL HOME, 356 WEST AURORA ROAD (OH RT 82), SAGAMORE HILLS FOR VISITATION ON WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 26, 2025 FROM 4-7 P.M. Funeral Thursday, February 27, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment Crown Hill Cemetery, Twinsburg. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Louis’ name to Wounded Warrior Project.
