LINDY SUE OZMUN,74, of Macedonia, Ohio, passed away peacefully on October 30, 2025. Dearest daughter of the late Louis Darwin and Lois Ozmun (nee Harville); sister of Louis Charles Ozmun; dear cousin of Janet Iarussi, Joan Rennebaum, and James Rennebaum; special friend and companion of Paulette Dunlap; lifelong friend of Gene Finley. Lindy also leaves behind many dear cousins and friends who will forever hold her close in their hearts. Born in Cleveland on April 3, 1951, and growing up in Northfield, Ohio, Lindy lived a life filled with kindness, laughter, and love. For more than four decades, Lindy dedicated herself to her career at All State Insurance, where she worked as an underwriter. Outside of work, Lindy’s heart belonged to the animals she so deeply cherished. A lifelong animal lover, she cared for countless cats and dogs over the years—and even once had a pet raccoon. Lindy had a passion for music and dancing, which brought joy to everyone who knew her. Her love for rhythm and movement was a reflection of her vibrant spirit and zest for life. Occasionally she was known to even play an air guitar!!! Lindy was an avid photographer amassing over 50,000 photographs on her iPhone and prior to that chest with drawers full of photographs of friends and family. There was rarely a time she was not taking a picture as anyone can attest. Those who knew Lindy will remember her as a free spirit with an infectious laugh, a radiant smile, and a heart as big as her love for life. She brought joy and light wherever she went, leaving behind warm memories that will be treasured by all who had the privilege of knowing her. May the memory of Lindy Sue Ozmun continue to bring comfort, love, and laughter to all whose lives she touched. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her name are requested and may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, any animal shelter, or Crossroads Hospice. A celebration of Lindy’s life will be held at the Beer Belly Sports Grill, 158 E. Aurora Rd. (RT 82) in Northfield on Monday, November 10, 2025, from 4-7pm.
