Keith Bevan Obituary

KEITH D. BEVAN, formerly of Bentleyville, Ohio, beloved husband, father, and grandfather passed away in Hudson, Ohio on April 11, 2025 at the age of 90. Born and raised in South Lorain, Ohio Keith lived a life full of family, friends, laughter and love.

Keith was the youngest brother of Bill Bevan, Jean Obeshaw, and Mary Jane Simon who all predeceased him. After graduating from Lorain High and working for U.S. Steel, he enlisted in the U.S. Army. Upon completion of his service, he attended Kent State University on the GI Bill where he met his future wife, Carol Demarchi at a fraternity/sorority party. Keith and Carol celebrated over 65 years of marriage and raised their family in Solon, Ohio.

After college, Keith worked for Ford Motor Company at the Walton Hills Stamping Plant for 13 years during which time he attended night law school classes at Cleveland State; becoming a lawyer in 1972. He left Ford in 1977 and practiced law for 26 years representing union autoworkers, rubberworkers, and steelworkers on workers’ compensation and asbestos claims. He practiced for many years with Dale Economus and ultimately formed the law firm Bevan & Associates.

Keith enjoyed many good times boating on Lake Erie and spending winters in Florida and Mexico where he formed many lifelong friendships. He especially enjoyed being “Papa” to his 8 grandchildren. A lifelong Cleveland sports fan and Browns, Cavs, and Indians/Guardians season ticketholder, he lamented never seeing the Browns in a Superbowl. Always the life of the party, he loved organizing social events for his friends and family and attending and organizing reunions with his Collegiate fraternity brothers.

Keith was adored by his family and is survived by his loving wife, Carol; his daughter Sherri Bevan Walsh (Pat); son David Bevan (Kristin); son Tom Bevan (Carrie); and grandchildren Nicholas Bevan (Psyche), Caroline Osborn (Brennan), Alissa Bevan, Tommy Bevan, Matthew Walsh, Jill Bevan, Joey Walsh, and Kenny Bevan and many nieces, nephews and beloved friends.

Many have said that he always treated everyone with equal respect whether they were the corporate CEO or the janitor that swept the floors. Keith touched many lives and leaves a legacy of kindness, love, laughter, and fun.
