KATHERINE LENORE ROSE GILBERT

On Sunday, September 3, 2023, our beloved Katherine Lenore Rose Gilbert passed away peacefully at her home with her family and caregivers at her side.

Kathe was born on April 22, 1948 to George and Marion Gilbert in Cleveland, Ohio. She attended St. Mary’s Catholic School and Nordonia High School, where she was crowned homecoming queen.  At the age of 16, on November 14, 1964, she was involved in a tragic automobile accident, leaving her severely disabled. Kathe was cared for by her parents and grandparents and, when that was no longer possible, she became a resident at Hartville Meadows.

Kathe has resided at Hartville Meadows for the past 35 years and has touched the hearts of everyone she met with her charming personality, laughter and outpouring of love and affection. Known as Katie by the residents and staff, she has been exceptionally and lovingly cared for throughout these years by their extraordinary personnel, for which we will be forever grateful.

Kathe was preceded in death by her parents and older brother, Tim Gilbert.  She is survived by her two younger brothers, Walt (Cheri) Gilbert and Bob (Patti) Gilbert, along with nieces, nephews, great nieces and a great nephew.
