JUDITH NAGYOSZY, age 89, died peacefully in her sleep at home in the early morning hours of Tuesday, August 4, 2020. She is preceded in death by husband Les and daughter Susie. She is survived by her children Judy Nagyoszy, Esther Slomski (Steve) and Les Nagyoszy (Corinne), and grandchildren David Slomski, Kayla Stephens (Michael) and Kevin Slomski. Judith was born in Sopron, Hungary on October 29, 1930 to Dr. Stephanus and Ottilia Abraham. In 1950 she came to the U.S. and settled in St. Louis, Missouri with her parents. It is here that she met and later married Les. They enjoyed playing golf, overseas travels and playing bridge. Judith was an avid bridge player and after Les’ death, she played bridge three to four days a week. She earned many Master Points in Bridge which were a source of pride for her. Judith was a member of The South Euclid Women’s Club for many years and had served as a Past-President. Many of Judith’s schoolmates from Niederaudorf-Reisach boarding school in Europe settled in Cleveland. The group remained very close and saw each other frequently. She was always a positive person, even when dealing with cancer for 20 years never questioning God’s plan for her. She was loved by many and will be missed. There will be no visitation, per Judith’s request. Private family funeral services will be celebrated. She asked that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to a charity of your choice.
