Joseph V. Nicolosi, Sr.

NICOLOSI, SR., JOSEPH V., 76, of Aurora, passed away January 18, 2026. Beloved husband of Carmen (nee Ingrassia); Loving father of Joseph V., Jr., Andrew R., Maryanna M. Hawley (Steven), and Nicholas J. (Amanda); Adored Pop of Lincoln Joseph, Eloise Elizabeth, Noah Joseph, and Aria Rose; Dearest son of the late Ralph and Ann M. (nee Scolaro); Dear brother of Peter P. (the late Marilyn J., and the late Agnes Konas (the late Robert); Brother-in-law of the late Joseph Ingrassia (Maureen); sister-in-law Antoinette Ingrassia; Nephew of Carmen Virzi (Nancy); uncle, cousin and friend of many. Joe shared a remarkable love story with his wife, Carmen, of 53 years. Together since they were just 13 and 15 years old, their life was a true testament to how devotion, loyalty, and partnership can grow into a lasting and beautiful love. Together, they built a family with four children and were eventually blessed with four grandchildren, who knew him as the very best “Pop” anyone could ever ask for. To those who knew him, home was not a place — it was a person. It was Dad. Through his deep love for his wife and children, Joe became the foundation of his family, creating a home filled with warmth, laughter, joy, and unwavering support. Family was always his greatest pride, and nothing brought him more happiness than time spent with those he loved most. Joe found happiness in the simple pleasures of life — sunshine, time in the pool, and traveling with his loved ones. An outdoorsman at heart, he loved his cars, camping, boating, and four-wheeling, and he was always happiest when surrounded by sunshine and family. Joe was also a hardworking and driven man. He owned and operated Aurora Carpet Cleaning for 22 years, a business he took great pride in and one that his eldest son, Joey, has now proudly taken over. He will be remembered for the strength, dedication, and perseverance he showed in providing for his family. Known for his warm presence and unmistakable charm, many gatherings were held at Joe and Carmen’s home, where family and friends were always welcome. Joe was often found in his flannel and jeans, a glass of whiskey in hand, living life with authenticity, humor, and heart. He was the very definition of a loving husband, devoted father, and cherished Pop. Joe leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and family that will carry on through generations. Though he will be deeply missed, his spirit, his stories, and his love will remain forever in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to know him. And while we grieve his loss, we take comfort in our faith, trusting that Joe is now at peace and reunited with loved ones who went before him. We are deeply grateful for the years we were blessed to share with him, and we hold onto the hope and our faith that one day we will meet again. Friends may call at THE FERFOLIA FUNERAL HOME, 356 W.
