Joseph F. Bosze Sr., Age 80
Loyal husband to Gail Bosze (Scibana) of 50 years. Loving father to Joseph Bosze (Kimberly), Jason Bosze, and Grace Brody (Ryan). Devoted Grumpa to Joseph “Porter”, Benson, and Emersyn Bosze as well as Abigail, Everlee, and Marley Brody.
He resided in Macedonia, Ohio, with his heart in his business, The Northfield Fireplace Shoppe, in Northfield, Ohio.
Joe was born September 21, 1944 in Cleveland, Ohio to the late Joseph and Erma Bosze.
Joe was nothing short of a legend. He lived life large, loud and with a heart full of generosity and love for others.
Joe spent his childhood in Cleveland with his parents and two brothers, Robert and Dennis and served as an altar boy for St. John's Church on Buckeye Rd.
In his early years, he devoted 4 years to the United States Air Force, where he proudly served his country. He later traveled the world taking every bite out of life he could. He lived in California, was an extra in a movie, learned photography, worked as a dog catcher and drove a Corvette.
Life slowed down a little bit when he met the love of his life, Gail Scibana. Together, they raised 3 children and were blessed with 6 grandchildren.
Joe built a legacy when he founded The Northfield Fireplace Shoppe in the early 1970s. He took extreme pride in hard, honest work, providing for his family, being the best in the business and creating something that would outlive him and beyond.
When he wasn’t at the Fireplace Shoppe, Joe was either on the lake fishing, enjoying his pond from the deck, making someone laugh, giving favors and advice, reminiscing his Hungarian roots, shopping for gadgets at Marc’s and Bin Treasures, collecting Rolls Royce and barber shop memorabilia or making family time unforgettable.
Joe was an incredible husband, father, brother, uncle, and dear, dear friend to many. He was a legend and will be deeply missed by all.
