JOHN G. ZIMMERMAN, age 82, passed away on August 27, 2020. Beloved husband of the late Jay (nee Volpe) for 62 years; loving father of Jeri Shelton (Jim), Jill Biss (Mark) and the late Janet Knotek; dear papa of Nicole Biss (Nick Agresti), Mitchell Biss, Daniel Knotek, and Amanda Knotek; brother of the late Dolly Loepp. Mr. Zimmerman served in the U.S. Coast Guard and was a member of Brook Park – Berea VFW Post 6676. Friends may call at THE FERFOLIA FUNERAL HOME, 356 WEST AURORA RD. (OH RT 82), SAGAMORE HILLS FOR VISITATION ON FRIDAY FROM 5-8 P.M. OUT OF RESPECT FOR ONE ANOTHER, MASKS WILL BE WORN AND SOCIAL DISTANCING OBSERVED. All are asked to gather at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church, 400 Center Rd., Bedford, OH on Saturday at 11 a.m. for John’s Mass of Christian Burial. Private family interment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
