Jeannette Heston Rue

JEANNETTE HESTON RUE (nee Galambos) age 94 formerly of Bedford. Beloved wife of the late Richard Heston and the late Ronald Rue; loving mother of Chris Heston (Kathy), Susan Brocone (Kurt), Amy Toth (James) and Jennifer Harrison; dear grandmother of Monica Wood, Audrey Elias (Keith), Nate Brocone (Lauren), Matt Brocone (Janine), Steve Brocone (Laura), Eric Toth (Julie), Kristin Fox (Michael), Stephanie Postema (Ben), Richard Bradbury, and Sophia Bradbury; great-grandmother of Mallory Wood, Kendra Wood, Avery Elias, Lincoln Elias, Cecilia Brocone, Luca Brocone, Elliott Brocone, Faye Brocone, Cyril Brocone, Ellie Toth, Deacon Toth, Mattie Fox, Amelia Fox, Tessa Fox and Cleo Postema; sister of Robert Galambos (Ruth) (both deceased), Mary McGarva (deceased), and James Galambos (deceased) (Sylvia). Jeannette was a member of Bedford High School Class of 1948. Jeannette married Richard Heston, her high school sweetheart, in 1949. Following high school she began her higher education at Baldwin Wallace University and later graduated Magna Cum Laude from Kent State University where she received her Master’s Degree. She taught elementary education at Aurora Elementary, later at Carylwood School, then was an Administrator for the Bedford School System. She never really 'retired' from teaching she was a member of ZONTA, volunteered at project learn, ESL tutoring and was a mentor for many..

She was co-owner of Ridge Ranch Campground in Windham, Ohio for 10 years. Jeannette had a life-long faith in God, she was a long-time member of Bedford Church of Christ and later at the First Baptist Church of Bedford.

Memorial Service to Celebrate Jeannette’s life Saturday, August 9, 2025 11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Bedford 445 Turney Rd. Bedford, Oh. 44146. Interment Bedford Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers Memorial Contributions in her name are suggested Arden Courts of Parma 9205 W. Sprague Rd. North Royalton, Oh. 44133.
