James R. Pelka

JAMES R. PELKA, age 79, of Sagamore Hills, passed away peacefully in the care of hospice on January 28, 2025. Beloved husband of the late Sandra; dear son of the late George and Florence P. Szuplak (nee Frontczak); brother of Raymond J. and uncle of Eric. James is also survived by his longtime and close friend John R. Perdion and wife Karen and their children Atty. Jason Perdion, Dr. Sarah Sheeran, and Molly Fratalonie. James retired as service director with Johnson Controls and was a member of St. Barnabas Catholic Church.  Friends may call at the FERFOLIA FUNERAL HOME 356 W. AURORA ROAD (OHIO RTE. 82) SAGAMORE HILLS FOR VISITATION THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 6, 2025 from 9:30 A.M. UNTIL 10:30 A.M.  Funeral Service 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.  Funeral Mass Thursday 11:00 a.m. St. Barnabas Catholic Church, 9451 Brandywine Road, Northfield, Ohio 44067. Burial to follow in All Saints Cemetery, Northfield. In lieu of flowers, memorials in James’ name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Make-A-Wish Foundation.
