Jacqueline "Jackie" Ann Szczesniak

Jacqueline “Jackie” Ann Szczesniak (née Lyson) was 79 years old when she passed away in the early morning hours of March 20, 2025, in her home. She shared her life and home with her loving husband of sixty years, John. Jackie was born on June 7th of 1945, in Cleveland, Ohio, to the late Jack and Verna Lyson. Jackie quickly became the centerpiece of her family as the youngest of three sisters, Eileen Zangara (Ben) and Jeanne Rice (Jim). She had the strength and patience to raise four wonderful sons: Tony Szczesniak (Charlotte), Brian Szczesniak (Gina), Raymond Szczesniak (Leah), and Michael Szczesniak (Natalie). Jackie was the loving grandmother to Ashley, Ryan, Gina, Rachel, Jonathon, Katlyn, Ryan, Austin, Lindsey, and Zachary. She was also the proud great-grandmother of 10.

Jackie was the matriarch of the Szczesniak family, and her home was always the place where loved ones gathered. Her love was expressed through tight hugs, delicious homemade cooking, warm bakery, and her unwavering support of all of us. She was generous and kind, never allowing anyone to leave her home with an empty stomach. Creative and crafty, Jackie found joy in using her hands to create magic with buttons, stickers, fabric, and whatever else she could find. She was fierce, smart, and full of life. 

Friends may call at THE FERFOLIA FUNERAL HOME, 356 W. AURORA RD. (OH RTE. 82), SAGAMORE HILLS, where funeral services will be held Monday, March 31, 2025 AT 10:30 A.M. VISITATION SUNDAY, MARCH 30, 2025, FROM 1-6 P.M. Interment All Saints Cemetery.
