In Memory of GERARD “JAY” NYKAZA, 9-10-1940 - 12-26-2024. Beloved husband of Adelle (Nee Vopli) for 55 years. Loving father of Brian (Heidi), and Mark (Krystal); Cherished grandfather of Broderick (Aleah), Madison Valdez (Ellis),Corinne (Fiancé Joshua), Gianna, Marianna, and Colton, Isabella Mettler (Zachary), Maxwell and Collin Snyder; Dear great-grandfather of Ezra and Kai Valdez, Emery Nykaza, and Rocco Mettler; Preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Sophie, brother, Edwin and sister-in law Alice; brother-in-law of John Volpi (Carol deceased), Joseph Volpi (Marsha), and Theresa Sambor (Robert); uncle and great uncle to many. Jay was proud of his faith, his country, his service in the Army, and especially proud of being from Chicago. Memorial contributions are suggested in Jay’s name to the St. Malachi Food and Hunger Center 2459 Washington Ave. Cleveland, OH 44113 or the Charity of your Choice. Family and friends are asked to gather at Ss Cosmas & Damian Catholic Church, 10419 Ravenna Rd. Twinsburg, Thursday, for a Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate Jay’s life at 11:00AM. MEMORIAL VISITATION THURSDAY 10:00AM UNTIL TIME OF SERVICES.
