George L. Gongaware

GEORGE L. GONGAWARE, 83, of Northfield, passed away May 17, 2026. Loving father of Traci Billingsley (the late Terry), Danese Pagano (Ken), Jennifer Lucas (Neil), and the late Christopher; Step father of Olivia Faulhaber and Mark Faulhaber (Casey); Cherished grandfather of Trevor (Caitlin), Anthony (Tory), Dena (Ryan), Dominic, Rileigh, Aishia (Jared), Dalton (Blair), Krystie (Brett), Hannah and Colin; Great grandfather of 14; Dearest son of the late Mellinger and the late Rose (nee Mayers); Dear brother of the late John; and trustworthy friend of many. George loved to watch baseball and root on the Guardians. He enjoyed listening to and playing music. In his younger years, George played guitar in a band. Traveling to Florida was always something George looked forward to every year. Hanging out with his Monday night crowd of friends and gathering to play cards with the poker guys was always a good time. Friends may call at the FERFOLIA FUNERAL HOME, 356 W. AURORA RD. (ST.
