Elizabeth "Betsy" Johnson

ELIZABETH “BETSY” ANNE JOHNSON, of Hudson, OH, age 58, passed away Tuesday, February 10, at her home.

“How do you sum up one’s life in a few paragraphs?”

Betsy and Wayne met through the connection of her sister and a family friend before spending the next 34-plus years together. They enjoyed vacations at the beach, going on walks and hikes, and watching the sunset together. Besides being a wife, her favorite role was being a mother to their two children, and later Nana to five grandchildren. Betsy was an intelligent pharmacist, but an even better stay-at-home mom. Being present at her kids’ various events and getting the family together for dinner were always a top priority for Betsy. Everywhere she went, whether a loved one or a stranger, she always made people feel seen and like they mattered. She loved the Lord from a young age and continued to grow in her faith and trust throughout her years and was well-known as a prayer warrior. Her dedication to prayer grew even stronger through her challenging journey with ALS,both for her own dependence on the Lord and as a way to continue to serve others.

She is survived by her husband, Wayne Johnson, son Zachary (Stephanie) Johnson, daughter Paige (Joseph) Ball, and grandchildren William, Paxton, Sadie, Grant, and Addison. Private family burial services will be observed. Family and Friends are asked to gather Saturday, February 21, 2026, at Hope Community Church 3033 Middleton Rd. Hudson for a Celebration of Betsy’s life at 2:00PM. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Christian and Missionary Alliance for disaster relief https://secure.camaservices.org/ or the ALS Association https://www.als.org/ in Betsy’s memory.
