Elaine E. Pocza

ELAINE E. POCZA (nee Ertle), age 86, passed away on August 25, 2023. Beloved wife of Raymond. D.; loving mother of Anne Marie Scharfenort (Mark), Michael (Darlene) Pocza, and Lorraine Marie LaPorta (Benny); dear grandmother of Samantha and Gracie Scharfenort and Lauren Pocza, Matthew Pocza, and Carly LaPorta; sister of the late Jerry Ertle (the late Stella) and the late Barbara Alosi (Dominic, living). Private family funeral services were celebrated.

Although she has gone on, she has left us with memories that will be with us forever.

Anyone who knew her knew how she loved the holidays, especially Halloween and Christmas and decorating for these holidays was certainly her passion. The only thing she loved more than decorating was shopping for her decorations.

Another thing that brought joy into her life was tending to her yard. There were so many beautiful flowers and Lantana was definitely her favorite.  

She also had her favorite animals she loved to feed.  Bird feeders were placed throughout the yard that brought a variety of birds.  Seeing them at the feeders made her happy.  And the raccoons were also one of the critters she loved.  They would always show up at the same time every night.  And then there was Bailey, her favorite grand dog, who was at her side until the very end. 

We will truly miss her, but she lives on through these wonderful memories that we have.  Every little bird or raccoon, every pretty plant and every holiday decoration will remind us of her.  

We love you and know you are watching over us from heaven.
