EDWARD ANTHONY DUBROVICH, age 82, passed away peacefully on April 25, 2025, in Greenville, South Carolina. Born on January 17, 1943, in Cleveland, Ohio, Ed lived a full and joyful life marked by quiet strength, a loving heart, and a wonderfully quirky sense of humor.
A graduate of Cathedral Latin High School, Ed went on to attend the University of Dayton before beginning his long career as a technician with General Electric’s lighting division. He took pride in his work and was a steadfast provider and caretaker for his family.
Ed had a gentle demeanor and a sharp wit, often catching his loved ones off guard with his signature one-liners. When asked about his day, he’d respond with a twinkle in his eye: “It was a day like all days, filled with those events that alter and illuminate our times.” He lovingly referred to Las Vegas as “Lost Wages,” and never turned down a good game of poker or cards.
A sports enthusiast, Ed followed Cleveland teams faithfully, through thick and thin. He enjoyed golfing and bowling, and cherished trips to places like Rome, Hawaii, and of course, Las Vegas. Whether home or away, he found joy in life's simple pleasures and the company of those he loved.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Linda Dubrovich (nee Dempsey); his children, Joe Dubrovich, Vicki Meath, and Kim McCabe (Jason); his beloved grandchildren, Kaiana Meath, Jadon and Kamryn McCabe; his sister, Louise Dragmen (the late Al); his brother, Ben Dubrovich; and his dear friend, “Dad’s buddy,” John Stuckey. Ed is the loving uncle of many. He was preceded in death by his father, Mathew Dubrovich, mother, Katy Bonawitz, and his son, Michael Dubrovich.
Ed will be remembered for his kind heart, steady presence, and the laughter he brought into every room. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
