Dr. Daniel Arthur Wilson

DR. DANIEL ARTHUR WILSON was born on June 24, 1949, in Columbus, Ohio, to parents Robert and Fanchon Wilson, and passed away peacefully on November 17, 2025. Raised on a farm in Sabina, Dr. Wilson developed a lifelong love for horses, hunting and Family. After graduating from The Ohio State University School of Veterinary Medicine in 1975, he built a life and family in Ohio, where he became known not only for his work, but for his warmth, humility, and kindness to all.

Dr. Wilson devoted his career to caring for horses with a gentle hand and a calm presence, but he was even more cherished for the man he was—patient, generous, and endlessly supportive. He approached every day with a smile, a laugh that put others at ease, and a quiet strength that made him a trusted friend and mentor to many.

Outside of work, Dr. Wilson loved nothing more than spending time with his family. His greatest joy was being a husband, father, and grandfather. He is survived by his beloved wife, Barbra Wilson; his sons Daniel Wilson (Kira) and Douglas Wilson (Jaclyn); and his adored grandchildren Kacie, Abigail, and Dominic. Nothing made him prouder than sharing stories and photos of his family.

After retiring in 2021, Dr. Wilson enjoyed becoming a horse owner with Barb and spending his days quietly, doing what he loved—watching horses train, enjoying the outdoors, and embracing the simple pleasures of a well-lived life.

Dr. Wilson will be remembered for his kindness, his integrity, and his deep love for animals and the people around him. His legacy lives on in the many lives he touched, and in the family he cherished above all else.

Friends may call at THE FERFOLIA FUNERAL HOME, 356 WEST AURORA RD. (OH RT 82), SAGAMORE HILLS FOR MEMORIAL VISITAITON ON FRIDAY FROM 2:00 – 5:00 P.M. Private family interment services will be celebrated at All Saints Cemetery.
