Donald G. Schneider

DONALD G. SCHNEIDER, age 90, of Hudson, Ohio, passed away peacefully on May 5, 2025. A lifelong resident of the area, Don was known for his kindness, dedication to his community, and deep love for his family.

Don was preceded in death by his beloved wife, lifelong best friend, and traveling companion, Betty Jean. Their enduring partnership and devotion to one another were a source of inspiration to all who knew them.

He is survived by his loving daughter, Beth Pamula (née Schneider), and her spouse, Barry; his son, David Schneider, and his wife, Alicia; and his cherished grandson, Alexander. Don’s family was his greatest pride, and his legacy lives on in the lives of those he loved so dearly.

Don spent more than 35 years in the printing industry and was also a proud co-owner of the family business, Schneider’s Country Furniture. He was known for his strong work ethic, steady leadership, and quiet generosity.

In the years following Betty’s passing, Don found renewed purpose in volunteerism. He gave his time and heart to the Cuyahoga Valley Railroad, Holy Name Food Bank, and at St. Patrick’s, where he regularly served meals to those in need. His service touched many lives and reflected the compassion and humility that defined his character.

Don Schneider will be remembered not only for his contributions to his profession and community but also for his warmth, wisdom, and unwavering love for his family. He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who had the privilege to know him. 

Family and friends are asked to gather at St. Barnabas Catholic Church, 9451 Brandywine Road, Northfield, OH on Thursday, May 8, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. to celebrate Don's Mass of Christian Burial.  Please enter St. Barnabas from Olde 8 Road. Interment All Saints Cemetery.
