DEBORAH A. “DEB” SLATER, age 61, passed away July 31, 2025. Beloved wife of Jim F. Bostjancic; loving mother of Brice Bostjancic (Alex) and Sydney Bostjancic; dearest daughter of Roger Slater and the late Deanna (nee Marks); dear sister of Amy Flavin (Pete); and friend of many. Born in Columbus, Ohio, she was a beacon of love and support in her family. Deb graduated from Louisville City Schools before earning a bachelor’s degree in economics from Capital University and a master’s degree in economics from Miami University. She built a fulfilling career as a Logistic Analyst, where she was known for her meticulous attention to detail. A devoted mother and wife, Deb's caring nature was the cornerstone of her family life. She was a member of Beech Mennonite Church, where she enjoyed connecting with her faith. She was a pet lover and had two cats and a dog that she cherished dearly. Her hobbies included crafts, reading, building puzzles and engaging in crossword puzzles, which were a testament to her love for challenges and her creative spirit. These activities brought great joy to Deb and were a cherished part of her daily routine. Her memory will be cherished and kept alive in the hearts of her family and friends.
