Deborah "Deb" A. Slater

DEBORAH A. “DEB” SLATER, age 61, passed away July 31, 2025.  Beloved wife of Jim F. Bostjancic; loving mother of Brice Bostjancic (Alex) and Sydney Bostjancic; dearest daughter of Roger Slater and the late Deanna (nee Marks); dear sister of Amy Flavin (Pete); and friend of many. Born in Columbus, Ohio, she was a beacon of love and support in her family. Deb graduated from Louisville City Schools before earning a bachelor’s degree in economics from Capital University and a master’s degree in economics from Miami University. She built a fulfilling career as a Logistic Analyst, where she was known for her meticulous attention to detail.  A devoted mother and wife, Deb's caring nature was the cornerstone of her family life. She was a member of Beech Mennonite Church, where she enjoyed connecting with her faith. She was a pet lover and had two cats and a dog that she cherished dearly. Her hobbies included crafts, reading, building puzzles and engaging in crossword puzzles, which were a testament to her love for challenges and her creative spirit. These activities brought great joy to Deb and were a cherished part of her daily routine.  Her memory will be cherished and kept alive in the hearts of her family and friends. Friends may call at the FERFOLIA FUNERAL HOME, 356 W. AURORA RD. (ST. RT. 82) SAGAMORE HILLS FOR MEMORIAL VISITATION ON THURSDAY, AUGUST 14, 2025 FROM 5-6 PM. Memorial Service to immediately follow at 6 PM.
