COLLEEN ANNE WEILER, age 39, was received into the arms of Jesus on August 7, 2025. She was the loving partner of Bryan Henderson; devoted mother of Beckham Aiden Weiler-Henderson; cherished daughter of Kevin and Jennifer Weiler; beloved sister of Kevin, Jr. (Stacey); and dear aunt to Frances Jacqueline and Clare Marie. She was preceded in death by her dear sister, Jacqueline Maureen Weiler-Adkins (Jude Adkins). Colleen was a person of many interests and abilities. She exhibited a talent for art at a young age, and her many creations are treasured by her family and all who received them. An excellent student, she graduated with honors from Case Western Reserve University with majors in chemistry and psychology. She worked at the University with Dr. Mitchell Drumm, assisting in genealogy research. Although she completed the first half of a Master of Science in Physician Assistance Studies, she was unable to finish the program due to illness. The happiest day of Colleen’s life was the birth of her precious son, Beckham. She was pleased to be his “stay-at-home mom” for six years, eager to relish every minute of his childhood. Together, they played, read, visited the zoo and museums, traveled, skied, and did everything else that fit into the time they had together. Colleen suffered from a severe genetic disease—cystic fibrosis. A lung transplant in 2019 gave her additional years to enjoy life. She took advantage of that time with adventures including parasailing, jumping into a Mexican cenote, scuba diving, and swimming with sharks. Colleen wanted to do everything—no matter how daring or extreme. When she developed chronic rejection of her transplanted organs, she fought on and received a second transplant in March of this year. But, after being beset by end-stage kidney disease and repeated bouts of pneumonia, she was called home by the Lord. Her family is grateful for the doctors, nurses, and caregivers, both at the Cleveland Clinic and University Hospitals of Cleveland. They are especially indebted to Dr. Jason Turowksi and Dr. Michael Konstan. Colleen liked to brag that she was Dr. Konstan’s very first patient. She was comforted by him spending time with her during her final hours. Friends may call at THE FERFOLIA FUNERAL HOME, 356 WEST AURORA RD.
