Bill Addis

BILL ADDIS, age 77, of Lisbon and formerly of Northfield, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 1, 2025 under the comforting care of hospice.  Beloved husband of 54 years, Pat (nee Cartwright); dear brother of Jacqueline Clark (the late Burt); brother-in-law of Judy Handley (Joe), Janet Shriver (Dan), and Jean Hodder (Jeff); dearest uncle of Kristin Vigie (Tawn); uncle, great uncle and friend of many. Bill was owner and operator of William C. Cartwright Insurance Agency in Northfield until his retirement in 2021. A devout fly fisherman, Bill spent many summers in Lisbon at the family cottage, a place he so much enjoyed and retired to after selling the insurance business in 2021. Bill enjoyed making his own fly fishing lures and enjoyed volunteering with the Cuyahoga Valley National Park where he was honored with the VIP Award for over 1000 hours served. Bill was a member of Stow Presbyterian Church. Friends may call at THE FERFOLIA FUNERAL HOME 356 W. AURORA RD. (OHIO RTE. 82) SAGAMORE HILLS FOR VISITATION THURSDAY, MARCH 6, 2025 FROM 4-7 P.M. Funeral Service 11 a.m. Friday, March 7, 2025 at Stow Presbyterian Church. Burial will follow in Northfield-Macedonia Cemetery, Northfield. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions in Bill’s name to Stow Presbyterian Church, 4150 Fish Creek Road, Stow, Ohio 44224.
