BETTY ANN ROGERS (nee Kovacs), age 91, Northfield, Ohio, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, July 12, 2025, surrounded by her family. Betty Ann was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, the love of her life, Thomas Kay Rogers. Devoted mother of Thomas (Carla), David (Ann) and Robert (Dawn); loving grandmother of 7 grandchildren, Kierstyn (Jason), TJ, David (finacee Leah), Marcus (Blanca), Jesse (Emily), Owen, and Hazel; caring great-grandmother of Charliana, Jameson, Julieta, and Mateo. She was born on November 2, 1933 to her parents, the late Andrew and Anna Kovacs with siblings, the deceased Andrew Kovacs, deceased baby Kathleen Kovacs, and Alice Kovacs.
Betty Ann was born and raised in Lorain, Ohio where she graduated from Lorain High and later attended Ohio University. She was devoted to her family and faith. After briefly living in Warrensville, Ohio, Betty Ann and Tom moved to Macedonia-Northfield in 1960. She worked at St. Barnabas, Nordonia High School, and taught CCD at Our Lady of Guadalupe, always enjoying helping students. She particularly enjoyed her years working at Walsh Jesuit High School, caring for the students as if they were her sons and daughters. She also participated in Kairos retreats, prayer groups, 50-Plus Club, volunteered at the Board of Elections, school activities, soup kitchens, and church events. There was nothing she loved more and was dedicated to than her faith and family.
Friends may call at THE FERFOLIA FUNERAL HOME, 356 WEST AURORA RD. (OH RT 82), SAGAMORE HILLS FOR VISITATION ON TUESDAY, JULY 15, 2025 FROM 4-7 P.M. Funeral Wednesday, July 16, 2025 at 9:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial 9:30 a.m. at St. Barnabas Catholic Church. Interment All Saints Cemetery.
