Annette "Anet" Smith

ANNETTE “ANET” SMITH, of Brecksville, 95, passed away on October 25th 2025, at Marymount Hospital. Born in Cleveland, on October 29th, 1929, she is the daughter of Ann and Michael Kamenar. Married for 42 years, she is preceded in death by her husband, John Smith. Loving mother of Trent (Gina), Ken (Tommasina Gabriele-Smith), and Karen Smith Plicka (James); cherished grandmother of Cole, Serena, Enrica, Ivana, and Helen; dear great grandmother of 5. Anet will be missed by friends and family alike. 

After earning her bachelor’s degree from Kent State University, Anet worked towards her master’s degree while teaching elementary school. She was an educator for 27 years in Springfield Township, teaching traditional and special education students, until retiring from education in 1992. 

Friends may call at the FERFOLIA FUNERAL HOME, 356 W. AURORA RD, (RTE. 82), SAGAMORE HILLS, where funeral services will be held Friday at 7 PM. VISITATION FRIDAY 4:00 PM UNTIL TIME OF SERVICES. Inurnment at Brecksville-Highland Drive Cemetery, 11 AM, Monday. All are asked to gather at the cemetery.
