Annette Brookshire

Annette Brookshire (née DiMarco), 68, of Brunswick, Ohio, passed away peacefully on October 3, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. She was the beloved wife of the late Michael; loving mother of Maria and Katrina; cherished Nonni of Jake; dear sister of Jimmy DiMarco (Nancy) and Maria Ostrowski (Bob); caring niece, aunt, cousin, and friend to many; and devoted companion to her faithful dog, Jessie.

Born on August 31, 1957, in Cleveland, Ohio, Annette was the daughter of the late Samuel and Antoinette DiMarco (née Ciraolo). She built a life filled with laughter, love, and treasured family memories alongside her husband. She adored her daughters, and the special closeness they shared throughout her life. Her bond with her grandson brought immeasurable joy and pride to her heart.

Annette—known to many as Nettie—will be remembered for her infectious humor, her light in every season of life, and her ability to cheer the loudest during moments of joy while holding others just as tightly through their storms. Her strength, toughness, and sass made her unforgettable—a wonderful listener, a talented cook, the trivia queen, and the heart of every gathering. She loved Jesus deeply and carried her faith with grace and gratitude through every chapter of her life. Her warmth, kindness, and laughter will forever be missed by all who were lucky enough to know her.

Friends may call at THE FERFOLIA FUNERAL HOME, 356 WEST AURORA ROAD (OH RT 82), SAGAMORE HILLS where Memorial Services will be held Tuesday at 7:00PM MEMORIAL VISITATION TUESDAY FROM 4:00-7:00 PM. A Celebration of Life honoring the lives of Annette and her husband, Michael will be held Saturday, May 30, 2026, at The Eagles in Brunswick.
