WILLIAM E. BASEL, age 69, of Reminderville, passed away May 22, 2024. Devoted husband of 48 years of Patricia A. (nee Sever); beloved father of William (Megan); and Heather Phelps; proud papa of Ava, Olivia, and Roman Basel, and Avery Phelps; caring son of the late William J. Basel and the late Edith Walter (nee Krauser)(the late Elmer); dearest brother of Kathleen Pender (Richard), Debbie Miller (Mike), and David Basel; loving son-in-law of Margaret Sever (the late Frank); cherished brother-in-law, uncle, and great uncle to many.  Bill was a 1974 graduate of Benedictine High School and was a frustrated, but always optimistic Cleveland sports fan.  He was the strong, silent type; man of few words, but his presence was always felt.  Quick with a joke and easy to laugh with and worked hard for many years to provide for his family.
