WALTER GLATZ, Early in the morning of June 23, 2026 Walter Glatz (aged 92) left us to be with the Lord.

He was born to Michael & Maria Glatz on April 20th, 1934 in Bauschendorf, Slovakia

Walter was an avid outdoorsman enjoying hiking, biking, and exploring the Cuyahoga Valley National Park and Bedford Reservation. He was passionate about nature and planted quite a few trees in his lifetime.

A longtime member of Epiphany Lutheran Church in Northfield where he sang in the choir and taught Confirmation classes for many years.

He worked most of his career at Picker International where he helped pioneer early X-Ray and MRI systems for the company and held patents for some of his work.

Walter was enlisted in the Army stationed at Fort Gordon, GA. and then served in the Ohio National Guard in the Signal Corp.

Walter is preceded in death by his son John. He is survived by his wife Janice, son Michael, daughter-in-law Christa, and grandsons Joshua and Brandon. Sisters Erika and Elsie and nieces and nephews and a loving family.

Friends may call at THE FERFOLIA FUNERAL HOME 356 W. AURORA RD.(OHIO RTE 82) SAGAMORE HILLS where a celebration of Walter’s life will be held on Monday at 12 noon. Visitation Monday 10 a.m. until time of service at 12 noon. Interment Northfield-Macedonia Cemetery.
