SHIRLEY M. DUSEK (nee Grubenhoff), age 81, of Northfield Center, passed away March 29, 2024. Beloved wife of 61 years to the late William "Bill" E.; loving mother of Sharon M. Losey (Christopher); the late Richard M.; Michael E. (Sheryl); and Sarah A. Binder (Ronald Lardie); caring grandmother of Claire E. Losey; Natalie M. Dusek; James E. "JED" Dusek; and Madeline "Maddie" M. Binder; dearest sister of Victor "John" Grubenhoff (Deborah Love), Carol Sue Helmig (the late Clarence, Jr.), Richard Grubenhoff, David Grubenhoff, Phillip Grubenhoff (Lisa), and the late William Grubenhoff (Linda); aunt and great aunt to many; caring and best friend to sister-in-law Diane Seafler (Bruce). Shirley loved her children and grandchildren fiercely; loved her friends, neighbors, and all animals; she enjoyed gardening, landscape design, and the conservation of our planet. Shirley had a passion for traveling, decorating, shopping, and reading. She loved to challenge her mind by doing crossword and sudoku puzzles. Family and friends may call at THE FERFOLIA FUNERAL HOME, 356 W. AURORA RD. (OH RTE 82), SAGAMORE HILLS FOR MEMORIAL VISITATION ON SATURDAY, APRIL 13, 2024 FROM 12:00 PM TO 3:00 PM. A Service Celebrating Shirley's life will follow at 3:00 PM Saturday in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Shirley's name to Cuyahoga Valley National Park, 15610 Vaughn Road, Brecksville, Ohio 44141.
