SHELLEY SOBEY, age 75, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 8, 2024. Loving wife of the late William Sobey; cherished mother of Kathryn Stone (Bill), and Matthew Sobey (Meghan Baron); grandmother of Olivia Stone; loved sister of Randall Cook (Danita), and sister-in-law to the late John Sobey (Linda); treasured aunt of Dina Jensen (Damita), Ryan Cook (Christine), and Elizabeth Heiser (William); dear friend of many. She was preceded in death by her parents Warren and Naomi Cook. Shelley was a lover of music, graduating from Drake University, and spent her career as a music teacher. A talented mezzo-soprano, she also performed in the Cleveland Opera and the Cleveland Orchestra Chorus. Family and friends are invited to call at the FERFOLIA FUNERAL HOME, 356 W. AURORA RD (RTE. 82), SAGAMORE HILLS, OH, 44067 FOR VISITATION, TUESDAY, JULY 16, 2024, FROM 4-8 PM. All are asked to gather beginning at 10:30 am for an 11:00 am service to celebrate Shelley's life on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at the funeral home. Interment at All Saints Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Holy Family Hospice House for the compassionate care they provided to Shelley.
