Obituary

SANDRA LEE MANNINO, Sr. (nee Petroff); 72, Passed away on October 15, 2026 surrounded by her fur babies. Sandy was born on October 10, 1954, in Bedford, Ohio. She was a proud graduate of Bedford High School Class of 1972. Sandy was an outspoken, fiercely loyal woman who lived life on her own terms. She dedicated much of her life to animal welfare as a animal warden in the City of Maple Heights, where her badge number 4496 remained a source of pride. Her love for animals, especially Rottweilers and horses, was unmatched. Years were spent fostering, rehoming, and nurturing countless animals. Her Bigly Sue did not leave her side during her illness and was there with her to give her a proper farewell. Sandy and her husband Nick, were regulars on the flea market and garage sale scene for many years. For as long as could be remembered they would hit the pavement before the birds were awake to find their treasures. Sandy found beauty in many of those things. Above all Sandy cherished her family, and friends who became family and has left a void that will never be filled. Sandy was preceded in death by her parents, Eileen (nee Parrise) and Andrew Petroff; her uncle Nick Parrise and cousin David Parrise. She leaves behind her best friend of 54 years her beloved husband Nicola Mannino, her loving children Nick Daniel Mannino (Tracy), and Sandra Lee Jr. Timura (Donald); her grandchildren, Hailey Ann, and Dominic Nicola (Burkliee); her step-grandchildren Nathan and Amanda; her great-grandchildren, Glenn Daniel and Skyliee Rose, along with extended family, dear friends, and her beloved dogs, Bigly Sue, Tuffy Jane, Lincoln Abraham, and Pepper. After courageously defying the odds following an aggressive diagnosis, Sandy leaves behind a legacy of unforgettable stories and a spirit that could never be tamed. She was unapologetically herself until the very end, there will never be another Sandy. Friends may call at the FERFOLIA FUNERAL 356 W. AURORA RD. (ST. RT. 82) SAGAMORE HILLS where Memorial Services will be held Friday at 5:00PM. MEMORIAL VISITATION FRIDAY 2:00-6:00PM.
