RUSSELL K. CUMMINS passed away on September 1, 2026, at the age of 94. Honorably married to the late Shirley Cummins (nee Perry) for 74 years; Loving father of Mark (Milagros) Cummins, Michael (Patti) Cummins, and Chris (Tina) Cummins; Cherished grandfather of Amanda Dolan, Kim Cummins, Lauren Cummins, Cameron Cummins, and Alex Cummins; Adored great grandfather of Lincoln Dolan, Jameson Jenkins, and Charlotte Mercer. He is the beloved uncle of Susan Abramof and the great uncle of Julian (Melanie) Abramof. Russell is the son of the late Russell and Helen Cummins and brother of Elizabeth, Jeanette, Doris, and Robert (all deceased).

Born in New Castle, Indiana, in 1931, Russell graduated from East high School in 1950. He served in the U.S. Army in the Korean War. Returning home after the war, he attended the Cleveland Engineering Institute in 1957. Russell became a Tool and Die Designer and worked towards earning a Bachelor of Arts degree from Cleveland State University in 1975.

A Celebration of Life to honor both Shirley and Russell Cummins will be announced at a later date.
