ROSALIE KOREN (NEE CRISAFI), age 92, of Macedonia, entered peacefully into eternal life Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at home.  Beloved wife of the late Robert R. Koren; loving and devoted mother of Robert (Christine) and Joseph (the late Katherine); cherished grandmother of Robert and Jonathan; dearest sister of Carole Simon (the late Harvey) and the following deceased sisters Mary Jane Pela (Louis Jr.) and Gloria Zipay (Dan); aunt and great aunt of many.  Rosalie was well respected high school cooperative office education teacher having taught for Cuyahoga Valley Vocational School, Berea City School District, and retired from the Solon Local School District with over 30 years of teaching. She was instrumental in starting classes in legal and medical secretary education at all three school districts. Rosalie was passionate about teaching and was awarded the Business Teacher of the Year in 1981. She had many passions in her life; one being a council woman having served on the Macedonia City Council for 16 years; starting her political career as Clerk of Council in 1979 and had a pleasure of holding the office of President for 4 terms; retiring from Council in 1994. During her tenure on Council, Rosalie served on every standing committee as Councilwoman. Even after her fulfillment on Council, Rosalie graciously volunteered her time and talents to the residents of Macedonia. Rosalie enjoyed reading and the challenges of doing crossword puzzles. In retirement, she enjoyed traveling and even traveled abroad to China; of which she was very proud of doing by herself. Rosalie was of the Catholic faith and a longtime member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Macedonia. Friends may call at THE FERFOLIA FUNERAL HOME 356 W. AURORA RD.
