RONALD C. NICHOLS SR., age 91, of Kent, passed away peacefully at home in the evening hours of May 20, 2024.  Born April 15, 1933 in Maple Heights, he was the son of the late Charles and Elizabeth "Elsie" Nichols (nee Pietrowski). Beloved husband of 65 years of the late Darlene A. (nee Rieger); loving father of Brenda Omiecinski (Walter), Maureen Nichols, Ronald C. (Sherri), Karen Nichols (Brooks Billings), and Craig Nichols; cherished grandfather of Austin, Rachel, LaSha, Ryan, Brandon, Rose, Briana, Cameron; great grandfather of Addelyn, Zane, and Ira; dear brother of Richard (Paulette) and all of the following deceased Leroy, Lois Kuehls, and Beverly Bruce.  He was loved by many nieces and nephews, as well as neighbors and friends. Ronald, aka Red, enjoyed keeping his yard and home like a postcard; fishing; and in his younger years hunting. He worked diligently to keep his neighborhood safe and beautiful; always lending a helping hand to whomever was in need.  A U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War, Ronald was retired as a high voltage electrician with LTV Steel.
