Robert Walker
Rowe
Nov 20, 1931 — Jun 15, 2026
ROBERT WALKER ROWE, age 94, passed away in Parma Ohio on June 15, 2026, after a long battle with congestive heart failure. Bob was born and grew up in Cleveland, Ohio. He married Sylvia Imogene Walters (deceased), with whom he had six children Sharon, Cheryl Patrick (William), Jeff (deceased), Jim (Rose), Steve, and Bill. After Imogene’s death, he was remarried to Mary Hahn (deceased) in Vero Beach, Florida.
Bob served in the US Constabulary, (Circle C Cowboys), in Germany. After his military service, he spent many years as a truck driver at Canada Dry and then Klann Trucking in Cleveland. He was a proud member of Teamsters Local 407. He finished his career at Goodrich-Gannett Neighborhood Center, where he delivered meals to homebound seniors and provided transportation to and from the Center. He especially loved fishing, working in his garage, music, gardening, art projects, and most of all his little dog, Angel. At his home on West 101st in Cleveland, he was proud of his well-stocked and organized garage, which was like a mini Home Depot, for neighbors and friends who needed anything.
In retirement, he spent 25 years living in Vero Beach, Florida, with seasonal returns to Cleveland.
Bob leaves behind 12 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, his dear friend, Jackie White in Florida, along with many granddogs and grandcats, who will all miss him, especially Lilly Marlene.
Special thanks to granddaughter Jessica Rowe, who visited and made countless homemade meals for her grandpa and Billy Rowe, Jr., who took him fishing.
Thanks, as well, to the staff and volunteers at I’m In Ministry who always asked how he was doing. Bob felt like he had a fan club. Bob was a supporter of I’m In Ministry throughout the years and admired the work that they do in the community. If you choose to make a donation in his memory, please consider I’m In Ministry, PO Box 31880, Independence, OH 44131 or online at https://www.paypal.com/donate/?hosted_button_id=JTTQRCPN76PA6.
A celebration of Bob’s life will be held at a later time.
