With faith in God’s promise of eternal life, we celebrate the life of our beloved father, husband, brother, uncle “Tito”, grandfather “Lolo”, and friend, Pedro P. Ayapana who passed away on June 9, 2026 in the Philippines.
Beloved husband of Adelaida (nee Ayala); dear father of Joel Ayapana, Joanne Post (Tony), and Jason Ayapana (Miranda); cherished Lolo of Anthony Post, Ava Post, Adam Post, Liam Ayapana, Brayden Claflin, Dominick Claflin, and Ethan Claflin; cherished brother of Angelina Manalo (Eddie), Addie Glorioso, Virgie Tiñana (the late Nemesio) and all the following deceased, Remedios Piñon (Venancio), Juling Tinamisan (Benny), Manoling Ayapana (Gracia), and Haning Ayapana (Hening).
Born and raised in the Philippines, he learned the value of hard work at an early age while helping on the family farm and rice fields. He graduated from the University of the East in Manila with a degree in Business and Accounting and began a career in public service before courageously immigrating to the United States in 1976 in pursuit of a better future for his family.
In America, he built a life rooted in faith, sacrifice, and love. He worked as an electromechanic at Demag, where he formed many lifelong friendships and earned the respect of those around him through his dedication, humility, and strong work ethic.
Above all, he was a faithful servant of God and a devoted family man. His love was often expressed not through words, but through his sacrifices, quiet strength, and unwavering support. He found great joy in seeing his family grow and succeed, and his pride in them could always be seen in his smile.
He also found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He was a devoted Cleveland sports fan who followed his teams with loyalty and enthusiasm through every season. He loved working in his garden, and his lawn was always beautifully maintained…a reflection of the care, pride, and attention he brought to everything he did. One of his favorite songs was Frank Sinatra’s My Way, a song that so beautifully reflected the way he lived his life with strength, dignity, and a quiet determination to do things his own way, guided always by faith and love.
He will be remembered for his humble heart, joyful spirit, unwavering faith, and steadfast devotion to his family. His life was a beautiful example of perseverance, sacrifice, kindness, and love. Though we will miss him deeply, we find comfort in knowing he has been welcomed into the arms of the Lord he faithfully served throughout his life.
