Patricia Yanky, age 85, passed away on October 17, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, generosity and love that will live in the hearts of all those who knew her. She was preceded in death by her beloved parents Ralph B. Sr. and Dorothy M. Yanky (nee Hess); siblings Bernice Kresevic (Joe), Ralph Jr. Yanky, Robert “Buster” Yanky (Eleanor “Bunny”), Joan L.Yanky; nephews Jeff Yanky and Bruce Costarella, niece Cheryl Donovan (nee Yanky); dearest and cherished friend Sandra Hardesty, all whom she held dear throughout her life. She is survived by her sister-in-law Joan Yanky (nee Bulger); nieces and nephews, Denise M. Kresevic, Cynthia Gogol (George), John Kresevic (Tracy), Patty Kresevic (Mike), Doug Yanky (Julie); Cousin Kathy Foster and family; cherished friends Duke and Michelle Hartman and their children; and extended family and friends. Early on Pat devoted part of her life to the Sisters of Charity religious community. She pursued a career in nursing and devoted her professional life to caring for others. Pat was a dedicated and compassionate nurse with a natural gift for putting others first and finding joy in doing for others. After many dedicated years of service as a nurse, she retired from the Visiting Nurses Association of Cleveland but never retired from caring for others. Outside of work she enjoyed the simple pleasures in life. She loved her Cleveland baseball, golfing, visits to the casinos, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. Her happiness in doing for others and her faith and willingness to serve others was a meaningful part of her life and defined the type of person she was throughout her life. She will be deeply missed. Friends are invited to gather for Pat’s Mass of Christian Burial at Regina Health Center, 5232 Broadview Road, Richfield, OH 442856, Friday at 11:00 a.m. VISITATION 10:00 AM UNTIL TIME OF SERVICE. Interment All Saints Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donation to either Holy Family Hospice or the Akron-Canton Regional Food Bank online.
