Obituary

MICHAEL JOHN KRISHAN, 65, of Garfield Heights, passed away October 14, 2026. Beloved husband of 17 years to Christie M. (nee Perry); Loving brother to Gerard T. and Mary Ann Semall (the late Bruce); Cherished uncle to Erik Semall (Whitney Fogliano), Andrew Semall (fiancée Amanda Azzarello), and Kyle Semall (Brittney); Great uncle to Jacob Semall; Dearest son to the late Edward S. and Julie A. Krishan (nee Almasi); Son-in-law to the late Lucy M. Perry (nee Sygula) and Dear friend and co-worker to many. Member of St. Monica Catholic Church. Graduate of Maple Heights High School and retired after 37 years as a clerk at Giant Eagle in Garfield Heights. Mike loved to cook, testing out new spices or flavors, and he enjoyed growing tomatoes and peppers in his garden. Mike always looked forward to family reunions and gatherings with family and friends having participated in a number of his their weddings. Mike was a lover of animals, so much so, that his wife Christie, lovingly called him Cat Daddy because of how he helped care for their two cats, Pipsqueak and Snickers, while welcoming their dog, Watson, in their life five years ago. He would joke that Watson was his son. Mike was an eternal optimistic Cleveland Browns fan, each year proclaiming the team would go to the playoffs and usually betting a dollar with those who disagreed. He also cheered for the Guardians, Ohio State, and Cavaliers. After he got together with Christie, he rediscovered pro wrestling as well, with both going to events in Cleveland for years. Mike was always there for his friends and family. He bragged about being an uncle to his nephews. When he met Christie, he often said she was the love of his life. He grew very close to his mother-in-law, Lucy, who called Mike her shopping buddy, often helping her with purchases. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him dearly. Friends may call at the FERFOLIA FUNERAL HOME, 356 W. AURORA RD. (ST RT 82) SAGAMORE HILLS FOR VISITATION ON WEDNESDAY FROM 4-8 PM. Funeral 9 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
