Obituary

MARY ANN DROBNICK (nee Culkar), age 82 passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on March 13, 2026. Beloved wife of the late Kenneth; loving mother of Marie Drobnick, Kenny Drobnick, Ed Drobnick (Sharon), and Jennifer Nemeth (Daniel); dear grandmother of Michael Drobnick, Colton Fisher, Adeline Nemeth, Gabriel McKey, Myla Drobnick, Nick Nemeth, and Marisa Drobnick; daughter of the late Frank and Mary Culkar; sister of all the following deceased, Frank Culkar, Jr., Ronald Culkar, and John Culkar; sister-in-law of Barb, Marcel, Carol, Mary Ellen, William and the late Jeanette and Howard; aunt and great aunt of many.

Mary Ann was a graduate of Cuyahoga Heights High School class of 1961 and received her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Ohio University. While at Ohio University she met and married the love of her life Kenneth Drobnick. It brings us great comfort that she is reunited with him. Mary Ann was a lifelong public servant. She taught in the Cleveland Public School District, coached many of her two daughters' softball teams, served on the Cuyahoga Heights Board of Education for twelve years and was elected to Valley View Village council for twenty years. During her later years Mary Ann was a "Redcoat" volunteer for the Cleveland Playhouse performances and bus driver for the Brooklyn Heights seniors shuttling them to various functions and appointments in Northeast Ohio. In her free time, she enjoyed gardening, cooking, reading, baking, boating, fishing, singing in Slovenian Choir Triglav and listening to her father, brothers,' and nephew's accordion music. Her true passion though was watching her children and grandchildren compete in various sports and musical performances as well and watching Ohio State football and Cleveland Guardians baseball.
