MARK R BELEC, 63-On May 31, 2026 with heavy hearts, we said goodbye to my brother for the last time. He was surrounded by our family and his closest friends.

Mark leaves behind beloved companion of 15 years Gina M. Dolce; loving son of Edward J. and JoAnne Belec (nee Miller); Dear brother to Lisa M. Hovanetz (Chris); Cherished uncle to CJ Hovanetz and Alyssa Hovanetz.

Mark graduated from Maple Heights High School in 1980. He worked in the print shop industry and sales throughout his lifetime. Known by all who met him as one of the funniest guys with an infectious smile, and he had a larger-than-life personality. He was the life of every gathering and a friend to everyone.

To those closest to him, Mark was much more than a son, brother, and friend. The bond we all shared with him is difficult to put into words. With a lifesaving donation from his childhood friend Mickey Kanyok, we had 18 more years with him. His generous spirit and caring heart touched everyone fortunate enough to know him. As my brother, he was my protector and greatest supporter.

Though our hearts are broken by the loss, we find comfort in the memories he leaves behind, the laughter he inspired, the friendships he cherished, and the love he freely gave. While his journey on earth has come to an end, his memory will continue to live in the hearts of all who loved him.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mark's name to Tunnels to Towers. Friends may call at the FERFOLIA FUNERAL HOME, 356 W. AURORA RD. (ST. RT. 82) SAGAMORE HILLS, where memorial services will be held on Sunday at 4:00 pm, MEMORIAL VISITATION 2:00 PM UNTIL TIME OF SERVICE.
