MARIE GOPALAKRISHNA, age 83, was taken from this earth on Wednesday, May 22, 2024. She had a lengthy battle with dementia and Alzheimer's disease.  The former spouse of KV Gopalakrishna (Alayne), Marie is the cherished mother of Sheela Diederich (David), Arun (Lindsay) Gopalakrishna, Veena (Jason Reveal) Gopalakrishna, and the late Rajesh Gopalakrishna; adored grandmother of Ethan, Caden, Emma, Liam, Kaviraj, Brody, Premila, Jayan, Owen, and Tejas. Marie is the daughter of the late Leroy and Alta Shephard.  She is the sister of Donald Shephard and the following deceased siblings, Leroy Shephard, Sue Prokop, and Dolores Hubeny.
